Snow is finally melting, which means progress at Central & Haverhill elementary schools is going strong!

Central Elementary

Cabinets (and clocks!) continue to be installed throughout both floors of Central Elementary. The cabinets arrive on a semi-truck and are transported to their classrooms via forklift.

The ceiling grid is being filled in with ceiling tiles, allowing for the installation of light fixtures.

Painting progress has also continued, including some bright hues in the stairwells.

Haverhill Elementary

Both cabinets and ceiling tiles are also being installed over at Haverhill Elementary.

In Haverhill's bathroom and shower areas, tile is being laid. The V-shaped pattern you see below is called herringbone, named after the similarly patterned bones of a herring fish. Each of these tiles needs to be individually placed by hand, which you can see the beginnings of in the second picture below.

Tile will also create accents in select hallways at Haverhill.

See you back here in March for updates both inside and out!
