Teachers imagine future classroom design

Teachers joined administrators and architect officials this week to imagine the future classrooms at Central and Haverhill elementary schools.

Using small icons for different types of furniture, the teachers worked together to design classroom layouts they felt would work best for educating our students, from small group work to cozy spaces and individual spots for learning.

They also got the chance to test out for themselves possible furniture that would be found in Central and Haverhill, including regular desk chairs and wobble chairs that allow for students to move while listening.
